Therapy

Chiropractors use hands-on spinal manipulation and other alternative treatments and therapies, to properly alignment the body’s musculoskeletal structure, particularly the spine, which will enable the body to heal itself without surgery or medication. Manipulation is used to restore mobility to joints restricted by tissue injury caused by a traumatic event, such as falling, or repetitive stress such as sitting without proper back support.

Chiropractic is primarily used as a pain relief alternative for muscles, joints, bones, and connective tissue such as cartilage, ligaments, and tendons. It is sometimes used in conjunction with conventional medical treatment as well. Here at The Wellness Experience we use therapies that suit the needs of our patients.

Stretching

Chiropractic stretching is a therapeutic approach used by chiropractors to alleviate pain, improve flexibility, and enhance overall musculoskeletal health. It involves specific stretching techniques tailored to individual needs and conditions, often combined with chiropractic adjustments or other manual therapies.

Chiropractic stretching aims to address imbalances in the body’s musculoskeletal system, such as tight muscles, restricted joint mobility, or misalignments. By targeting these areas, chiropractors seek to restore proper function, relieve tension, and promote healing.

Cold Laser Therapy

The Wellness Experience - Cold Laser TherapyCold laser therapy is low-intensity laser therapy, or laser therapy that uses low levels of light to stimulate healing. Unlike surgical or aesthetic lasers, it does not cause your tissues to heat up. The main uses for cold laser therapy are tissue repair and relief from pain and inflammation.

Low-level light is applied directly to the problem area. The tissue then absorbs the light. In a basic sense, this leads to a biological or chemical reaction to red and near infrared light. Damaged cells have a physiological reaction that helps promote their regeneration. Differing wavelengths and outputs are used, depending on the purpose of the treatment. Generally speaking, wavelengths between 600 and 700 nanometers (nm) are used to treat superficial tissue. Wavelengths between 780 and 950 nm are used for deeper penetration.

During the procedure, you’ll feel the device against your skin, but it creates no heat, sound, or vibration. Even better, it is completely noninvasive and painless. Most of the time, one treatment will take only a few minutes.

This therapy is typically used in our office to help people who suffer with chronic pain, sports injuries and sprains, arthritis and other chronic autoimmune diseases.

No matter what the issue is that you are dealing with The Wellness Experience has the knowledge, traditional skills and hi-tech equipment to help relieve pain, improve your quality of life and increase your performance!!
